Job Title: Groundsman

Job Type: Full-time

Pay Rate: $11.25/hourly

Reports to: Golf Course Superintendent & Assistant Superintendent

Location: 800 Bentwater Drive, Montgomery, TX 77356

Job Summary:

The Groundsman under supervision of the assistant superintendent or foreman performs work involving the use of large equipment, including tractors, loaders, trenchers, backhoes, trucks and other maintenance equipment.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Duties will include trimming, mowing, blowing and drainage maintenance and general golf course maintenance duties.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Knowledge of safe, efficient mechanical operation of tractors and other motorized equipment
• Some mechanical aptitude preferred
• Ability to follow oral and written directions

Education and Experience:

• Experience in landscaping or golf course maintenance

Physical Requirements:

While performing duties of this job, employee is occasionally required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach within hands and arms; talk and hear. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
